Materra will be at the Global Fashion Summit!
We’re delighted to announce that Materra will be on a panel at the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen on the 23rd of May, represented by Edward Brial, CEO and Co-Founder, and Atmaram Prajapati, Master Farmer, Materra’s regenerative cotton programme!
We’ll be joined by Tana Dai, General Manager, Erdos Cashmere and Frances Van Hasselt from BKB Ltd on the panel moderated by Claire Bergkamp, CEO of Textile Exchange. We’ll be discussing solution unlocks to the value chain support needed by material producers from brands, including how to create long-term and direct brand-producer partnerships.
We’re particularly excited that our efforts to have smallholder farmers in the same spaces as top-level decision-makers have been recognized with this incredible opportunity. Solutions cannot be formulated without them being key stakeholders in any discussion around changing the base of the fashion supply chain.
We’re thrilled that Atmaram will share his honest experience in farming cotton for over 30 years, on a global stage, including what he hopes will seriously change soon in the fashion industry.
As Global Fashion Agenda makes clear — the age of concepts and commitments is over, and it is time to see near-term goals be implemented. See you in Copenhagen! 🚀
